Dry Floor Constructions

Timber Suspended Floors

Dry Floor Constructions - Overview

The USL timber joist floor system is fitted from above prior to the floor decking being laid.

It consists of CNC routed high performance polystyrene panels, the panels are then inlaid with aluminium diffusion plates.

The panels are held in place with a 'L' shaped angle bracket or timber battens that when installed provide support for the panel and ensures full contact with diffusion plates and the floor deck.

The polystyrene panels are produced in 340mm x 1200mm for 400mm joist centres and 540 x 1200 for 600mm joist centres.

Pipe centres are available in 200mm and available in 35mm, 50mm & 75mm Thickness.

USL Underfloor Heating pipework is then pressed into the diffusion plates which act as an excellent heat conductor. With the floor deck installed the heat spreads across the underside of the floor deck resulting in an efficient Underfloor heating system.

Dry Floor Constructions - Overview

The USL inverted modular diffusion plate system is fitted from below after the floor deck has been laid.

It consists of a special inverted diffusion plate which allows the Underfloor heating to be installed from below the floor decking.

The USL Underfloor Heating Modular Diffusion Plates are produced in 345mm x 1000mm (400 Ctr) and 545 x 1000 (600 Ctr) modules, pipe centres are available in 200mm & 300mm Centres.

The USL Underfloor Heating Modular Diffusion Plates are held in place by staples which secure the diffusion plate to the underside of the floor deck ensuring full contact to the underside of the floor deck. USL Underfloor Heating pipework is then pressed into the diffusion plates

As the insulation is fitted after the underfloor heating any type of insulation and thickness can be applied to suite the floor void.
